Remarks: This species was indicated as present in South America by Murray (1910, species distribution tables) but without specific localities or references. Dacylobiotus species require careful analysis of adults and eggs (e.g. Kaczmarek et al. 2012 b). This species has a largely Holarctic distribution (McInnes 1994 a), so these reports require further investigation.
