Record numbers: Peru: 3; total: 3.

Remarks: The species belongs to a Neotropical and Antarctic bigranulatus group and can easily be mistaken for other members of the group (Michalczyk & Kaczmarek 2006 a, 2007). It is currently endemic to Peru. See also remarks to E. bigranulatus above.
