Melo sp. (Gastropoda); marine; siphon; IO; Australia (Oceania) (MacDonald 1877; Monticelli 1892;
Skryabin 1952; Dollfus 1958b; Yamaguti 1963).
Remark: MacDonald (1877) briefly described this species, but left it unnamed; Monticelli (1892), after examination of original work, designated as A. macdonaldi.
