(Figs. 25L, M, 52 J–L)

Diagnostic remarks. Similar to T. continua but easy to distinguish by the shape of the male cercus (Fig. 25L), proportionately longer legs, and the lack of the dark brown stripe on the dorsal side of the body (Fig. 25M).

Bioacoustics. The call of T. bilineolata is a series of single syllables, produced at the rate of about 1 syllable/s (at 23°C); mean syllable duration is 0.03577 s (SD=0.004492, n=18); the peak frequency of the call is 16.4–21.6 kHz (Figs. 52 J–L).

Distribution and natural history. T. bilineolata is has been recorded from most of sub-Saharan Africa and Madagascar (Ragge 1964). It is found in open, dry savanna habitats, albeit it is decidedly less common in central Mozambique than T. continua.
