Emended diagnosis. An extremely slender eohypsibiid with reduced legs and claws. Body of medium size. Very large, trumpet-shaped mouth with 14 lamellae. Ventral strengthening bar absent. Buccal tube only partly rigid, posterior part with annulations; however, the annulations of the buccal tube can only be seen after clearing in mounting medium. Crest-shaped dorsal and ventral apophyses of the buccal tube for insertion of the stylet retractor muscles, and two pairs of caudal hooks. Three ovoid Malpighian tubes each with a small stalk (collecting tube to the pylorus). Eggs laid free or laid in the old exuvium and always strongly sculptured.
