Western Gulf of Alaska east of Sitkinak Island (Mecklenburg et al. 2002) to at least about U.S. -Mexican border (32°26.1’N, 119°06.6’W) (Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California), or perhaps to Banco Ranger (28°33’N, 115°25’W), central Baja California (Snytko 1986), but without documentation. Benthic; depth: 27–1,151 m (89–3,775 ft ) (min.: DFO; max.: NWFSC-FRAM).
