EFSA FoodEx2 Smart Coding Application User Guide (Version 1.0)

This is a user guide for the FoodEx2 Smart Coding Application, a new tool, developed at the European Food Safety Authority, that aims to help data providers to faster codify their data according to the FoodEx2 classification and description system. It adopts several techniques of artificial intelligence like machine learning and text mining. The application provides a set of suggested codes based on the free text describing a particular food given as input by the user. This guide aims at introducing the latest version of the tool, describing how it can be used and set up to achieve the desired results.
