A Conceptual Research Model for Studying the Relationship between Entrepreneurial Competencies and the Performances of Small and Medium Size Enterprises in Bangladesh
Creators
Description
By drawing upon the concepts of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurs, entrepreneurial competency domains, and measurement of Small and Medium Enterprise’s performance yardsticks, a conceptual framework has been proposed to understand the relationship between entrepreneurial competencies and SMEs performance. The model comprises three constructs: entrepreneurial competencies, the performance of SMEs, and control variables to realize the entrepreneur's demographic, background, behavioral characteristics with the firm’s age and stage of development. The central theme of this model is to propose the association of ten specific entrepreneurial competencies with SMEs' performance. The model directs further research for empirical justification, explores other competency areas, and group the competency domains in a meaningful way.
