Distribution in Bulgaria: Shabla Lake [1].

Lice of Actornithophilus identified to the generic level only were reported from Actitis hypoleucos (L.), Charadrius alexandrinus L., Larus gennei Breme and Sterna nilotica (Gmelin) (see Balát, 1958; Touleshkov, 1960a, 1964a).
