Type material: Holotype one male. MEXICO, Veracruz: Atotonilco de Calcahualco (Pico de Orizaba Volcano, 19.13725, –97.2050833; 2350 m); 4–13.X.2012; Lab. Aracnología FC-UNAM leg – CNAN-T01310. One male paratype from same locality and date – CNAN-T01311.

Etymology: The name is derived from Nahuatl iztac, white, and tepētl, mountain. Iztactépetl is the Nahuatl name for the Orizaba Volcano, the type locality of this species. It is a noun in apposition.

Diagnosis: Males of S. iztactepetl have a palp similar to S. orizabae, with a single RC component (RCm), but much smaller and thinner than the latter (Figs 30H, 32C). Females of S. iztactepetl are yet unknown.

Description: Male (holotype). Total length 2.13 Prosoma 0.92 long, 0.76 wide. Prosoma height 0.73, fovea height 0.56. Opisthosoma 1.21 long, 0.65 wide, 0.70 high. Clypeus height 0.18. AME 0.04, ALE 0.04, PME 0.06, PLE 0.06. Femur I 2.50 (2.72× prosoma length), Metatarsus I 3.34, TmI 0.14. Prosoma light yellow, with a darker line separating the cephalic area from the carapace and in the margins of the prosoma. Opisthosoma light grey with white guanine spots sparkled and some dark chevrons on the posterior part of the dorsum. Legs same colour as the prosoma, without any marks (Fig. 28A–D).

Distribution: MEXICO: Only known from the type locality at the Pico de Orizaba Volcano in Mexico.
