Type locality. North east of the Azores (44 ° 20 ’N 19 ° 31 ’W).
Material examined. Coral Sea. 1 small male, 10 mm, dissected 5 slides, AM P. 68512, due east of Mooloolaba, Queensland (26 ° 36.23 'S 153 ° 50.23 'E), 1006 m, baited trap, 2–3 August 1994, coll. J.K. Lowry and K. Dempsey, MV Capricorn I (trap 3, stn QLD- 1141).
Depth range. 750−4500 m depth (Thurston, 2001).
Remarks. Material examined here extends the distribution of C. bouvieri to the South Pacific Ocean.
