Type species. Drummondia corinellae Lowry, 1984, by original designation.

Diagnostic description. Body shape slender. Head lateral cephalic lobe large, broadly or narrowly rounded. Antenna 1 peduncular article 1 with posterodistal spine; accessory flagellum article 1 short; flagellum with callynophore in female. Mandible with accessory setal row modified into lamina dentata on one or both sides; left lamina dentata well developed; palp attached midway; palp article 2 broad, article 3 with subparallel margins. Maxilla 1 outer plate setal-teeth with lateral and medial cusps, STA–STD present or one inner row setaltooth absent; palp absent. Maxilliped inner plate small; outer plate large; palp 4-articulate, article 4 large. Gnathopod 1 ischium smaller than propodus; corner of palm with complex robust seta. Gnathopod 2 palm obtuse. Epimeron 3 posteroventral corner broadly rounded. Uropod 3 biramous.

Species composition. Drummondia contains 5 species: D. corinellae Lowry, 1984; D. luce sp. nov.; D. marlo sp. nov.; D. parviramus Lowry, 1984; D. tridentata sp. nov.
