– Hypogastrura (Hypogastrura) devia Christiansen & Bellinger, 1980: 66
AK Christiansen & Bellinger 1980, 1998; Skidmore 1995
Remarks: The original description of this species is based on Weber’s material, previously listed by him and by Yosii (1960) as manubrialis. Specimens of the same collection were studied later by Babenko et al. (1994) who speculated that it may be synonymous with H. assimilis and H. pannosa. Further study is needed to solve this problem. Fjellberg’s record (1985) of H. devia from Barrow Pt. and Prudhoe Bay (Alaska) obviously belongs to a different species (see remarks on H. rangkuli).
General distribution: Nearctic.
