Description

Baryssinus Bates, 1864

Baryssinus Bates, 1864: 43.

Type species Baryssinus penicillatus Bates, 1864 (subsequent designation, Thomson, 1864: 323).

Diagnosis. Elytra with lateral carina, lacking dorsal carina, and with centrobasal crest; basal metatarsomere as long as next two together; males with ventral face without long setae; protibiae without spines ventrally. Number of species currently included: 15.
