NOTES: (a) Bernhard (1963: 151) suspected Laelaps (Iphis) semiscissus Berlese to be a senior synonym of L. cetratus; (b) Lindquist (1964 a: 93; 1964 b: 3895) and Farrier & Hennessey (1993: 24) considered Arctoseius limburgensis Nesbitt, 1954 to be a junior synonym of A. cetratus. We adopted the interpretation of Halliday et al. (1998: 16), considering A. limburgensis a junior synonym Arctoseius semiscissus (Berlese).
