Galls induced by the cynipid Diplolepis polita found at the George Lake Field Station and associated species a Maturing galls on the leaves of Rosa acicularisb Larva of D. polita in dissected gall c Larvae of the inquiline Periclistus pirata that had structurally modified a gall after killing the inducer dEurytoma longavena, one of five species of parasitoids that attack gall inhabitants, ovipositing in a gall of D. polita. e) Larva of E. longavena after it had consumed larvae of gall inhabitants and gall tissues.
