PARALECTOTYPES EXAMINED: 1 ♀, paralectotype (mis-sexed as a male) (MZUF: Box 14): Brachicoma Rnd. / devia Fall., ♂ [sic !] / 695 / paralectotype; 4 ♀♀, paralectotypes (one missing left fore-, left mid-, right mid-legs and right hind-tarsi; one missing right fore-leg; one missing left mid-leg) (MZUF: Box 14): Brachicoma Rnd. / devia Fall., ♀ / 695 / paralectotype.

CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Brachicoma devia (Fallén, 1820) (Verves 1986: 114, Pape 1988: 5, 1996: 162).

REMARKS: Rondani (1859b: 204) described Brachicoma adolescens without specifying the number, the sex or the length of the specimens. Pape (1988: 4) designated a lectotype (♂) and paralectotypes (1 ♀ mis-sexed as a male, 4 ♀♀).
