Mean Cp tech reps = the mean of the technical reps for a given sample
DCT = delta Ct which is based on calculations from Livat and Schmittgen 2001 (reference 71 in the paper). Gene of interest - endogenous control for a given sample.
Mean of calibrator = mean of the delta Ct values.  
DDCT is delta delta Ct = this is calculated as delta Ct - mean of comparison control. That makes virgin have a mean delta delta Ct of zero. So looking at expression relative to average virgins.
Relative expression is just log(2) raised to the -delta delta Ct. 
delta delta Ct = log transformed relative expression.
