maternal_standard_length [mm]  =      Length from the tip of the upper jaw to the outer margin of the hypural plate
st_maternal_standard_length    =      z-standardized maternal standard length (zero-mean and unit standard deviation) 

embryo_dry_mass [g]            =      Brood dry mass divided by the number of embryos in the brood
embryo_lean_mass [g]           =      Brood dry mass after removing triglycerides divided by the number of embryos in the brood
embryo_body_fat [g]            =      Embryo lean mass substracted from embryo dry mass
proportion_embryo_body_fat     =      Embryo body fat divided by embryo dry mass
developmental_stage            =      Developmental stage of the embryo based on morphological criteria that range from 0 (eggs at fertilization) 
                                      to 45 (fully developed embryos), with stage 50 representing newborn offspring
