Lohmannella sulensis Bartsch, 2020

Diagnosis. Two corneae present. Ds-2 on membranous cuticle. Ds-3 on membranous cuticle. One dorsal seta on PE. Female with at least 48 Pgs and 8 Sgs. Tr I–IV with 1-1-1-1 setae; Bf I–IV with 3-3-3-2 setae; Tf I–IV with 7-6-6-5 setae; Gn I–IV with 7-7-5-5 setae, 3-1-0-0 Bp setae; Tb I–IV with 11-10-8-7 setae, 6-3-2-2 Bp setae; Ta I–IV with 3-3-4-4 dorsal setae, 2-1-2-1 Bp setae. Lc I with unidentate accessory process. Idiosoma length 386 in female, 286–301 in DN. Idiosoma width 310 in female. Gnathosoma length 354 in female. Ratio of gnathosoma to idiosoma 0.90 in female. Ratio of P-2 to P-1 6.00.

Remarks. This species differs from other Atlantic species in AD 1.5 times wider than long, PD 1.2 times longer than AD, Glps vestigial, gnathosoma almost as long as idiosoma (0.9 times), the length of P-2 about 2.6 times of P-4, Tb I with 6 ventral Bp setae, and Ta IV with 4 dorsal setae.

Habitat. Bathyal zone: Sediment at 285 m depth.

Distribution. North Atlantic Ocean: Sula Ridge (64°05.00’N, 08°02.00’E).
