README

The .zip file contains CAD drawings and photos of a scanning superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) microscope that was designed and built in the Nowack lab at Cornell University. This microscope is in use in a cryogen-free dilution refrigertor. For more details, see https://arxiv.org/abs/2102.09588 and the website of the Nowack lab.

The files in the main folder are compatible with Inventor 2022. Open the Inventor Assembly file "assembly_microscope_coldfinger.iam". This file contains the fully assembled scanner, microscope and coldfinger.

In subfolder "step", we include the drawings in .stp format which can be opened with older Inventor verision or different CAD programs.

The piezo scanner is made up of the following files (naming of .stp files is the same):
- macor_bottomplate.ipt
- macor_smallbottom.ipt
- macor_smalltop.ipt
- macor_topplate.ipt
- piezo_xy.ipt
- piezo_z.ipt

The microscope is made up of the following files:
- microscope.ipt
- microscope_windows.ipt
- sampleholder.ipt
- scannerbase.ipt

The full positioning stack is made up of the following files:
- scannerbase.ipt
- ANPx311_RES.ipt
- scanner_T_bracket.ipt
- scanner_L_bracket.ipt
- all of the piezo scanner files

We included a sketch of the printed circuit board that we mount a SQUID on in "squidpcb.ipt". Not all dimensions are exact.

We did not make the following files ourselves:
- 9435K110_302 SS PRECISION COMPRESSION SPRING.ipt
	This is from McMaster-carr
- 93465A080_BRASS SOCKET HEAD CAP SCREW.ipt
	This is from McMaster-carr
- ANPx311_RES.ipt
	This is from Attocube

Photos of the completed microscope are included in subfolder "photos".
