The data set includes sources referred to in the article’s footnotes, excluding research literature. Archive material, leaflets, journals, newspapers and pamphlets and books published between 1922–1945 have been included in the data set. File numbers in the data set follow the standards used in the archives. For example the RGASPI uses the following format: 495/4/237 - fond (collection) / opis (inventory) / delo (file). INFORMATION ABOUT DATA FILES: Source institution: The name of the archive or library where the document or publication has been accessed. If the archive has branches in different cities, the location of the archive is also added. File number: This number follows the archive system used by the archives themselves. Pages: For archive material (letters, reports, protocols, etc.) it refers to the page numbering indicated in the archive folder (not always clearly marked by the source institution). For publications (newspapers, journals, pamphlets, books) it is the page number printed in the publication. Document description: In case of letters, it indicates (if known) the sender and receiver of the letter. Original headings and titles of documents are otherwise used. When archival documents have been without heading or clear title, a free form description of the document has been made. Date: The dates marked into the data set refers to publication day of a journal or book. In the case of letters or reports, it indicates the date marked by the creator of the document. In some cases we only know the year (yyyy), while in other cases we know the year and month (yyyy.mm) or the full date (yyyy.mm.dd). Place: refers to where the publication was published or, in the case of reports, meeting protocols or letters, the place refers to how the document’s author has dated it.
