HOLOTYPE: AMNH 162602, adult female, collected at Avakubi, 01.24N, 27.40E (Chapin, 1954a), Ituri district, Congo (Kinshasa), on 20 September 1913, by James P. Chapin (no. 5067). Collected on the Lang-Chapin Expedition.
COMMENTS: Chapin collected a single specimen of this rare species and gave his field number for it in the original description.
