Type material. Selasia horni: Unspecified number of syntypes, males (MNHN); Stenocladius basalis: Unspecified number of specimens, at least one syntype, male (MNHN).

Type localities. Selasia horni: Sri Lanka: Anuradhapura (North Central Province) and Weligama (Southern Province); Stenocladius basalis: Sri Lanka (without further details).

Remark. Based on the study of type material of Selasia horni, Wittmer (1979) transferred this species to Stenocladius (Lampyridae: Ototretinae).
