Abietinella operculata (Jäderholm, 1903)

Material examined: BBB 2016: St. 9; St. 11; St. 12; St. 13; St. 23; St. 27; St. 30; St. 32; St. 33; St. 34; St. 35; St. 38; St. 39 (Fig. 2E) (MACN-In: 43456, 43457, 43458, 43459, 43460, 43461, 43462, 43463).

Distribution: The species is distributed in south Patagonian sector and subantarctic island (50– 54°S) as Zygophylax operculata (Jäderholm 1905; Blanco 1968, 1994).

Remarks: Abundant big and fertile colonies of this species were found in all analyzed areas usually epizoical on the hydroid Synthecium protectum and on soft-corals.
