Description

In a rapidly changing business environment due to COVID-19, a decision support system can assist firms in the decision making process. The purpose of this paper is to study the effect of decision support systems on sustainable competitive advantage through the mediator agility, during a disruptive event. Prior research has established a link between these variables, however not in the context of a disruptive event. By referring to this past research, and performing a survey on firms within the manufacturing industry in the Netherlands, the results of the regression analysis indicate that only the relationship between agility and sustainable competitive advantage is significant. This preliminary research gives direction to further research.
