Description

Aristolochia peltata Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 2: 960. 1753.

"Habitat in America meridionali." RCN: 6949.

Lectotype (Rankin in Manitz & Gutjahr, Fl. Republ. Cuba, ser. A, 1(2): 15. 1998): [icon] " Aristolochia asari folia, umbillicato, flore longissimo, radice repente " in Plumier, Codex Boerhaavianus 1: t. 84. (University Library, Groningen). - Epitype (Rankin & Greuter in Taxon 48: 684. 1999): Hispaniola. Haiti, Massif du Nord. Ennery, slope of hill north of town, 400m, 12 Jun 1927, Ekman H8401 (S; iso- US).

Current name: Aristolochia peltata L. (Aristolochiaceae).
