Zamarada pulverosa Warren, 1895: 158. Locus typicus: Cape Province: Annshaw, 98–249 (pres. by C.G. Narrett) (Neotype Ƌ designated by Fletcher (1974) in NHMUK).

Examined material. 2Ƌ: NW Ethiopia, 30km SE Bahir Dar, Tis Isat, Blue Nile Falls, 1640m (l), 11°29‘08“N37°35‘28“E, 25.VI.2008, leg. Hacker & Schreier (ZSM G 20357 / Ƌ; ZSM G 20353 / Ƌ / BC ZSM Lep 101617).

Genetic data. BIN: BOLD:ABY4670 (n=1 from Ethiopia, n=13 from South Africa, Zimbabwe; maximum variation 1.6%). Nearest species: Z. erugatoides (4.1%), Z. erugata (4.6%).

Distribution. Botswana, Kenya, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Zimbabwe (Swinhoe 1904; Gaede 1915; Fletcher 1974). New for the fauna of Ethiopia.

Remarks. Genitalia and DNA barcodes well matching those of the nominotypical populations.
