Carlson, daniel.carlson@hzg.de This dataset includes files, in addition to this README file: DJI_P3.zip 20170822_mesh.mtl 20170822_mesh.obj 201708122_mesh.pdf OVERVIEW This dataset consists of the mesh model of a drifting iceberg in Nuup Kangerlua (Godthabsfjord) in southwest Greenland on 22 August 2017. The mesh model was constructed from UAV images that were processed in Agisoft PhotoScan. The raw images are included in the .zip file. The mesh files consist of .mtl, .obj, and .pdf files. HOW TO VIEW THESE FILES After unzipping the archive, the jpeg files can be viewed in any image viewer The .obj 3D model can be viewed using Meshlab, an open access software http://www.meshlab.net The following instructions were tested on the Mac version of Meshlab. The process should be similar on Windows and Linux, but has not been tested or verified. + Download and install Meshlab + File -> Import Mesh + Select the ‘.obj’ file + Wait for the mesh to load - this can take 30-60 s depending on your computer + If the Info Panel is not open, View -> Show Info Panel For more information about Meshlab- read their documentation. The .pdf file is a 3D model that can be viewed in Adobe Acrobat Reader.
