Files from the model described in Kimura et al. (2017; JGR; doi 10.1002/2017JC012926) and used to produce the figures 1, 5, 6c-d, 8, 9, 10 and 12 of the manuscript “Control of the oceanic heat content of the Getz-Dotson Trough, Antarctica, by the Amundsen Sea Low”, by T. S. Dotto et al. Please, contact T. S. Dotto (tiagosdotto@gmail.com) for more information about the paper and/or analyses, and S. Kimura (skimura@jamstec.go.jp) for more information about the ocean model or more outputs from the ocean model. Tiago S. Dotto, LEOC/FURG-Brazil, 08/July/2020. ******** Description of the files: a) Mod_TimeMean_447m.mat => 1995-2014 time mean potential temperature, U and V velocity components at depth 447.m from the model. b) Mod_Mooring_372to522m_19952014.mat => has potential temperature, practical salinity, U and V velocity components simulated at similar location of the mooring S1. The data is extracted for the 1995-2014 period and between ~372 m to ~522 m. The user has to compute heat content and rotate the velocity components to along-trough and cross-trough, using an age of 42˚ (as described in the paper). c) Mod_UVel_avg372to522m_19952014.mat => has the U velocity component averaged between ~372 m and ~ 522 m. Period of 1995-2014. d) Mod_TAU_19952014.mat => has the wind stress components (tauU and tauV) that is used to force the model. It has the same resolution of the model, and it is extracted for the 1995-2014 period. e) Mod_Bottom_TSW_19952014.mat => has the bottom properties for each grid point. It contains potential temperature, salinity, and ocean vertical velocity. It is extracted for the 1995-2014 period. f) Mod_Sec_Dotson_19952014.mat => data interpolated onto the section Dotson (see Figure 1). It contains temperature, salinity, U, V and W velocity components and neutral density. It is extracted for the 1995-2014 period.
