# Segmentation

The following labelled map was obtained by manually segmenting a 2D (representative) block of histology. The myocytes are coloured by sheetlets.

The image has dimensions `1085px` by `859px` and a resolution of `4.56e-7m/px`. We oversample it with a resizing factor of `8`. In MATLAB, this is done with

```matlab
im = imread('Segmentation.png');
im = imresize(im, 8, 'Method', 'nearest');
```

to obtain an image with size `8680px` by `6872px` (and resolution `5.7e-8m/px`). This allows for more fine-grained control over the cell maps, especially when [morphing](./Morphing.md).

All data regarding segmentation is stored in `Segmentation.mat`.
