ACE station number: unique number of oceanographic sampling station at which water samples were collected
ACE event number: unique number of sampling event within ACE from which water samples were collected
date time of sampling utc: date and time at which the instrument deployment from which the samples were taken, began. For instance for a sample from the CTD rosette, this is the time at which the CTD deployment began [UTC]
latitude decimal degrees N: latitude at which the sampling event took place [decimal degrees north]
longitude decimal degrees E: longitude at which the sampling event took place [decimal degrees east]
sampling method: instrument from which the samples were taken or collected. ctd – water taken from the niskin bottles on the conductivity, temperature, depth (CTD) recorder rosette. trace metal rosette – water taken from the niskin bottles on the trace metal rosette. Underway – water taken from the continuously flowing water line from an intake approximately 5 m below the surface of the water. MilliQ – water taken system that produces MilliQ water.
depth of sample m: depth of water from where the sample was collected [metres]
ACE sample number: unique sample number for the sample within the ACE expedition. In format shipname/ACE/legnumber/projectnumber/julianday(UTC]/eventnumber/PIinitials/projectsamplenumber
tube sample number: number written on the sample tube, created by project. In format ACE CTDcast_number leg_number sampling_depth or ACE julian_day (3 digits) event_number sampling_depth
measuring date utc: date when analysis was performed on sample [UTC]
nitrous oxide µmol/L: concentration of nitrous oxide NOx [µmol per litre]
standard deviation nitrous oxide µmol/L: standard deviation of measurements of concentration of nitrous oxide NOx [µmol per litre]
phosphate µmol/L: concentration of phosphate PO4 [µmol per litre]
