Folder FrictionTests: contains measured data from friction tests in .csv file format.
Folder TipScans: contains data from scans of ballast tip before/in between/after cyclic friction tests. Meshes are provided in .ply file format.
Folder TipScans: contains two files with detail information on the contact area calculation (for the two types of ballast tested)

Each folder contains three subfolder: Series1, Series2, Series3, which contains the data of the corresponding test series, 
see paper above for a more detailed description.


Description of the data stored in the FrictionTests subfolders:

Files are arranged in folders corresponding to the naming of the tests, similar to the paper mentioned above. 
For example: 
data of test series 1 of test C1_1st of 10N vertical load is in the folder FrictionTests/Series1/C1_1st_10N
For this test 100 cycles under 10N vertical load were conducted, the data of which is contained in the files:
C1_1st_10N_cycle_001.csv, ..., C1_1st_10N_cycle_100.csv

Details regarding the contents of the csv result files: 
1)  skip first 24 lines of *csv files (technical content)
2)  columns are arranged as follows, see explanation below

From the TipScans, three scans were corrupted and are thus missing:
