## Description

This folder contains supplementary material for the research article titled "Open Access Uptake in Germany 2010-18: Adoption in a diverse research landscape" submitted to the Scientometrics special issue QuaFo2020 on 15 June 2020 authored by (in alphabetical order): Anne Hobert, Najko Jahn, Philipp Mayr, Birgit Schmidt and Niels Taubert.


## Contents

The supplementary material consists of three .xlsx files containing several spreadsheets with additional information each. The reported numbers constitute the underlying data most of the figures in the submitted article are based on.

The file 'S1 Yearly OA shares.xlsx' contains total and relative numbers of OA articles on the national level and per sector as well as per hosttype (journal or repository provided OA) at a yearly resolution.

The file 'S2 Institutional OA shares.xlsx' lists all examined institutions grouped by sector and displays the overall OA percentage, as well as shares of distinct OA approaches for each individual institution. It also contains an overview spreadsheet collating these numbers per research sector.

The file 'S3 Data exploration.xlsx' contains additional information on the specific repository domains, unmatched DOIs and distribution of OA categories per hosttype.
