bowward_relative_wind: average relative wind vector component in bow direction [m s-1]
portward_relative_wind: average relative wind vector component in port direction [m s-1]
eastward_wind: average true wind vector component in East direction [m s-1]
northward_wind: average true wind vector component in North direction [m s-1]
speed_of_10m_neutral_wind: (u10N) 10 meter neutral wind speed estimated from WS using the ERA-5 heat fluxes and the COARE 3.5 neutral drag coefficient [m s-1]

Missing or spurious observations are replaced by NaN. In some situations the true wind speed values could not be estimated due to missing velocity data from the ship's navigation system.
