Mecopoda himalaya sp. nov. Liu

Holotype. male, CHINA: Yunnan, Honghe City, Jinping County, Mengqiao Village, Mengping, 474m, 2013.VIII.21, CX LIU, K-G HELLER.

Paratypes. 1 male, CHINA: Yunnan, Honghe City, Jinping County, Surburb of Jinping County, 500m, 2013. VIII.17, CX LIU, K-G HELLER.

Diagnosis. M. himalaya is distinguished from the species in the species group niponensis by the low number of teeth and largest tooth density ( Figs 5d; Table 5) and continuous song, which consists of repeated unchanged simple syllables ( Fig. 1 p–r). The species is only distributed in low altitudes of Yunnan Province in China.

Etymology. The species name indicates its locality and distribution area.
