Microphasmoides vitjazi Vinogradov, 1960

Southwest Atlantic: 1090283, 8/654, [ 57°53’S 27°36’W], 1812 m.

Remarks: This is a relatively rare species, previously recorded from the tropical regions of the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans, usually from deep-water (> 500 m). Thus, the above is the first record for the Southern Ocean

and the Antarctic Zone of the Southwest Atlantic Sector and its occurrence there may be because of the incursion

of warm water south.
