Description

A evolução das redes de computadores deve levar à uma arquitetura onde soluções heterogêneas para o HW/SW deverão ser conectáveis e interoperáveis de maneira à viabilizar as Rede Corporativas. Neste contexto, os equipamentos de interconexão de redes desempenham um papel importante e o conhecimento de suas características e de suas aplicabilidades é fundamental para o projetista e o gerente de redes. Neste artigo, são introduzidos a conceituação básica de uma Rede Corporativa e dos equipamentos de interconexão de redes, juntamente com uma discussão sobre o escopo das aplicações cobertas pelos mesmos.
