Information about sampling behavior for Ihmels & Hütter (2019).
Data is in long format. Consequently, there are 60 (30 in Experiment 3) rows per participant representing the 60 (30 in Experiment 3) sampling trials. 
This file only includes participants from the sampling conditions.
Below you find short explanations of what the variables represent.

condition: Sampling motive (only available in Experiment 4)

VP01_01: Participant ID

time: Sampling period (1-60 in Experiment 1 & 2 & 4, 1-30 in Experiment 3). Higher values indicate later trials.

sampledVal: Valence that the sampled CS was paired with (positive "pos" vs. negative "neg")

sValNum: Same as sampledVal but coded as -1 (negative) / 1 (positive)
