Figs. 1–7
Material examined: Holotype male (MZSP). BR, MG, São Gonçalo do Rio Preto, Parque Estadual do Rio Preto, small stream near park entrance (S18°5'43.10" W43°20'51.30"), 14.xi.2001, HP; Paratype. 1 female, same data as holotype (MZSP).
Description: General color yellowish. Head yellowish with central part slightly darker (Fig. 1); lappets ochraceous; clypeal area setose; two ocelli; postfrontal line U-shaped; antennae and palpi ochraceous. Pronotum yellowish with rugosities, sublateral bands ochraceous (Fig. 1). Legs yellowish to ochraceous, tibia and tarsi darker. Wing membrane and veins pale. Cerci ochraceous.
Male: Forewing length 10.4 mm and total length 13.0 mm. Hammer truncate and wider than long (Fig. 2). Penial armature in ventral/dorsal views (Figs. 3–4) wide at the base and similarly wide at mid-length; presence of a constriction at the base of the apex (Fig. 3) forming a short bottleneck and of a pair of medium sized ventral vesicles; hooks regularly curved with pointed tips; in lateral view (Fig. 5), apex slightly bent dorsally.
Female: Forewing length 14.2 mm and total length 17.9 mm. Subgenital plate 4-lobed (Fig. 6) with a deep medial notch (Fig. 6). Egg measuring 0.295 x 0.250 mm (Fig. 7).
Remarks: The penial armature of A. paprockii resembles that of A. uyara Froehlich 2002, however differs by presence of a constriction at the base of the apex forming a short apical neck and by absence of a prominent keel (present in A. uyara). Additionally, A. paprockii is lighter and smaller than A. uyara.
Etymology: the name honors Dr. Henrique Paprocki who collected the holotype.
