Simulation Results Description There is a folder for each stimulation paradigm. Results files are contained in a folder that describes the simulation. The main differences between each simulation are the stimulation paradigm (single pulse, paired pulse, TBS), the random noise seed (1001, 1002, 1003, 1004, 1005), and the variables recorded (e.g. I_syn - the synaptic currents). For example singlepulse_1001 denotes that this simulation involved a single pulse of stimulation and had a random noise seed of 1001. The singlepulse folder contains the results of simulations using the single stimulus paradigm. Within this, multipleRuns contains the result of 5 runs with different noise seeds for the generation of the network and for the noise applied neuronal input. All simulation parameters other than the noise seed are constant. The singlepulse_1001_I_synComp contains the same simulation but this time we have recorded the synaptic currents at each compartment. The singlepulse_1001_I_syn_csd contains the same simulation but this time we have recorded the transmembrane currents at each compartment. The no_synapses folder contains the result of an identical simulation to the others but with no synapses. The pairedpulse folder contains results of simulations using the paired pulse paradigm. Within this multiple runs contains the results of runs with multiple noise seeds (1001 - 1005), but also different stimulus intervals (50, 100, 150, 200, 250). So in total there are results for 25 simulations here. The pairedpulse1001_detailed contains the results for a simulation using 150 ms pulse width, and records the synaptic variables, synaptic current, LFP, and membrane potential of a selection of cells, for this simulation. The pairedpulse1001_I_syn_Comp contains the results for a simulation using 150 ms pulse width, and records the synaptic current arriving a each compartment of a selection of cells. The tbs folder contains the results of simulations using the theta burst stimulation paradigm. The multiple runs files are MATLAB files and can be loaded using the load command. This will load in a Results struct as if the original simulation files were loaded using the loadResults VERTEX function. tbs_1001 contains the results of a simulation with a random seed of 1001. tbs_1001_weights contains snapshots of the weights of the synaptic network at various times during the simulation, as well as the synaptic weights of a selection of cells close to the stimulating electrode throughout the simulation. All results can be loaded and displayed using the VERTEX 2.0 simulator. Each results directory contains a parameters file (describing the simulation and the variables recorded) and several recordings files (containing the recordings of the variables specified). Calling the loadResults method with the directory name of the results will load these into MATLAB.
