**Title:** *Local Kay--Radzikowski--Wald Obstructions in the Protected Core of Ori's 2007 Time-Machine Spacetime*

The paper isolates the exact pseudo-Schwarzschild protected-core calculation
and its localized free Klein--Gordon consequences. It does not claim that the
complete Ori horizon is compactly generated or that quantum backreaction
destroys the horizon.

## Reproducible compilation

From this directory, run:

    /home/dakot/.local/bin/tectonic main.tex --keep-logs --keep-intermediates

Tectonic 0.16.9 was used for the audited build. It runs the required BibTeX
passes automatically. The expected output is **main.pdf**; the validated build
has 13 pages and no undefined citations, undefined references, multiply
defined labels, or reported overfull boxes.

An ordinary TeX Live installation may instead use:

    latexmk -pdf main.tex

## arXiv upload

Upload **arxiv-source.zip**. Its source payload is:

- **main.tex**
- **references.bib**
- **main.bbl**

The archive is compiled again from a clean temporary directory before it is
declared final. **main.bbl** is included so that the bibliography is
reproducible even if arXiv does not rerun BibTeX.

### Suggested abstract

Ori's 2007 time-machine construction contains a protected vacuum region whose
metric is a periodic pseudo-Schwarzschild quotient. At every horizon point
strictly inside that region, we construct exact future-directed radial null
segments contained in the globally hyperbolic development whose endpoints
approach the same quotient point but are intrinsically causally unrelated in
every sufficiently small globally hyperbolic neighborhood. One period has
return factor \(q=\exp[-l/(4\mu)]\), and one common cotangent normalization
gives the endpoint limit \((p,dr;p,-q^{-1}dr)\). This supplies directly the
local geometric input used in the Kay--Radzikowski--Wald argument. We prove a
compact-generation-free local propagator mismatch and F-locality obstruction,
and obtain a protected-side \(H^0/L^2\) Hadamard obstruction under stated free
Klein--Gordon assumptions. We do not claim that Ori's complete horizon is
compactly generated or that semiclassical backreaction destroys it.

## Human-review questions

Before submission, obtain independent answers to the following.

1. Does a Lorentzian geometer confirm the protected-collar inference from
   Ori's Section III.C--D, including the axis \(\theta=0\)?
2. Does an algebraic QFT specialist confirm the compatible-extension
   formulation of the F-locality corollary?
3. Does a microlocal analyst confirm the \(D(S)\)-only
   \(H^0/L^2\) propagation argument and its use of a symmetric locally weakly
   Hadamard bisolution?
4. Has a human searched MathSciNet, zbMATH, INSPIRE, Web of Science, and the
   full citation networks of Ori 2007, KRW, Cramer--Kay,
   Dietz--Dirmeier--Scherfner, Minguzzi, and Rieger?
5. Does Professor Ori agree that the notation \(H_1^\circ\) and the
   protected-side embedding faithfully represent his construction? His
   confirmation of the affine orientation does not settle this separate point.

Until those checks are complete, all model-specific novelty language remains
provisional.
