Prompt engineering is presented as an emerging literacy for humanists, at the intersection of interpretation, formalisation, and interaction with AI systems. The contribution outlines teaching strategies aimed at making prompting transparent, reproducible, and critically informed, and at better equipping it to reduce hallucinations through explicit constraints, source grounding, and verification practices.
