[00:00] Sub-030 (P2): but I also recently finished my masters in October last year and I also did my thesis with Jabra and it was very different from what I'm working in it was more in video side and then I got hired into the same team but as an audio engineer yeah so now we can start with the tasks I haven't completed the question

[00:27] Moderator: i i haven't completed the questionnaire actually oh for that zero it's not okay awesome okay so uh the first task um you have to imagine that you're part of a hiring committee and you're evaluating three candidates for a position so the candidates are a b and c and they are they're named the same across all of your devices

[00:32] Sub-031 (P3): Okay.
[00:36] Sub-031 (P3) [bc]: Okay.

[00:36] Sub-032 (P4) [bc]: okay

[00:36] Sub-029 (P1) [bc]: Ok,

[00:56] Moderator: So the role basically is in supporting AI adoption for the initiatives that GN has and AI transformation across different departments and this role would focus on helping understanding the potential for the use of AI in different departments and deploy the use of AI tools.
[01:21] Moderator: So you will receive on your tablets information about these three candidates and then at the end you have to together choose the best one for the position.
[01:31] Moderator: As a first thing you will have some time to read through the information.
[01:36] Moderator: You don't have to memorize it because you will be able to
[01:39] Moderator: go through it again during the discussion but just so that you familiarize with the information and during the discussion then try to rephrase whatever you have in your screen with your own words and do not just read aloud exactly what you have in your tablets try to make it natural in into the conversation
[01:59] Moderator: so if you don't have any questions i can start with the reading part and please do not communicate during that part okay so you have one minute 15 seconds
[03:25] Moderator: Okay, so you can now start the discussion.

[03:25] Sub-032 (P4) [bc]: Okay,

[03:25] Sub-031 (P3) [bc]: OK,

[03:25] Sub-030 (P2) [bc]: okay

[03:33] Sub-031 (P3): So I guess maybe talk a bit about what do we want for the role.
[03:37] Sub-031 (P3): And it doesn't seem to me to be like very deeply technical.
[03:43] Sub-031 (P3): So maybe someone who can understand the business context and the stakeholders and stuff would be a good priority.
[03:50] Sub-031 (P3): I don't know.
[03:50] Sub-031 (P3): What do you think about that?

[03:53] Sub-030 (P2): Yeah, I think this role doesn't require like a very large number of years of experience.
[04:00] Sub-030 (P2): Something around two to three years should be good enough if the person understands the basics well and has some previous background of having put out tools and using different methodologies and exploring on his own.

[04:29] Sub-032 (P4): Yeah, I agree with that.
[04:32] Sub-032 (P4): I think we should prioritize somebody who's good at communication rather than technical expertise for this role.
[04:43] Sub-032 (P4): So that would exclude, I think, if I'm correct, candidate B.
[04:48] Sub-032 (P4): So either A or C, depending on, I guess, the qualities that you guys prefer about either of those two.

[05:00] Sub-031 (P3) [bc]: yeah

[05:02] Sub-029 (P1): I think also for this role, it would be important with someone with strong communication skills.
[05:08] Sub-029 (P1): So I'm drawn to candidate A, who is probably able to communicate across all departments and give proper feedback.

[05:21] Sub-032 (P4): Yes, I think Candidate C also has good communication skills based on the tweets that we can read about his personality at least.

[05:35] Sub-031 (P3): They have helped other people in the past understand why this technology is useful.
[05:44] Sub-031 (P3): So I think that's a very helpful testament to their skill.
[05:50] Sub-031 (P3): um yeah help alignment and stuff help alignment between different stakeholders um but i don't know how much experience they have like in general how much uh yeah

[06:05] Sub-032 (P4): He does really mention that, right?

[06:06] Sub-030 (P2): Yeah, when it says basic data analysis skills, I feel this role would require at least a sort of solid experience in machine learning because that is the future of AI, right?
[06:24] Sub-030 (P2): So I feel five years of experience is maybe too much, but at least candidate B has a good number of decent experience in that sense.

[06:41] Sub-031 (P3): and technical work quality is also very required I guess for this skill if you have to implement I think it's more about as I understand it like um identifying the use cases and adopting it and stuff so I guess you don't need to be get your hands that dirty okay as I like as I kind of understand it's more about change management and stuff like that um

[07:00] Sub-030 (P2) [bc]: okay

[07:12] Sub-032 (P4): Yeah, I agree with that.
[07:13] Sub-032 (P4): I think it either has to be A or C based on other factors.
[07:22] Sub-032 (P4): I think technicality is not really required for this.
[07:30] Sub-032 (P4): It's very hard to choose just from these four lines.

[07:30] Sub-031 (P3): it's very hard to choose just from these four lines yeah I would probably go with C I think would be my preferred one but A is also a strong candidate and B is not necessarily very preferred in my mind because B is more technical so they would maybe work with the other candidate for like another position

[07:58] Sub-032 (P4): I think either A or C might be a good choice.
[08:00] Sub-032 (P4): I wouldn't know which one to choose over the other.
[08:03] Sub-032 (P4): I could probably be happy with either one of those.

[08:11] Sub-030 (P2): Good structure and planning is, I think, a very important point that C has.
[08:19] Sub-030 (P2): A, feels a very technical and very much specific into a certain thing that he has done.
[08:26] Sub-030 (P2): But C, he seems to be more flexible around different skill sets and he can thrive in different environments, like let it be technical skills like machine learning or data analysis or communication skills where you require good person skills.
[08:44] Sub-030 (P2): So I feel C is a more flexible candidate and good fit for

[08:54] Moderator: Yeah, I think it's fine.

[08:54] Sub-031 (P3) [bc]: Yeah,

[08:56] Sub-032 (P4): I can agree with that as well.
[08:57] Sub-032 (P4): We could go for C.

[09:02] Sub-029 (P1) [bc]: yeah

[09:12] Sub-032 (P4): We agree?
[09:14] Sub-032 (P4) [bc]: Okay,

[09:15] Sub-029 (P1): Okay, then I'm going to send to all of you a form to select the candidate, but you have to choose one person among you who feels in the form and send it in.

[09:25] Moderator: So you can do that now.
[09:25] Moderator: So you can do that now.

[09:29] Sub-032 (P4): P1?

[09:31] Sub-029 (P1): You want me to send it?

[09:32] Sub-032 (P4): I mean, you're P1.

[09:34] Sub-029 (P1): Okay.
