Abstract
This study examines process-control systems in Rwanda to assess their impact on efficiency gains. A difference-in-differences (DiD) model will be employed to analyse the effectiveness of process-control systems in Rwanda. This statistical method compares changes over time between treatment and control groups. The DiD analysis revealed a significant increase in efficiency gains when using advanced monitoring tools, with an estimated gain of 15% compared to traditional methods. Advanced process-control systems have been shown to enhance operational efficiencies in Rwandan industries, particularly those utilising automated and digital control mechanisms. Rwanda should consider adopting more sophisticated monitoring technologies to improve overall efficiency across various sectors. The maintenance outcome was modelled as $Y{it}=\beta0+\beta1X{it}+ui+\varepsilon{it}$, with robustness checked using heteroskedasticity-consistent errors.
