Data Reuse Workshops: Overcoming (Perceived) Data Barriers To Reuse Of Research Data
Authors/Creators
Description
Data sharing and reuse are essential for maximising the value of research by enabling new discoveries and insights without the need to duplicate efforts. These actions further foster collaboration and transparency, which in turn may increase reproducibility and trust in scientific findings. Yet, the level of uptake of data sharing and data reuse practices varies within the research communities.
As part of FIDELIS training workshops, we explore a series of aspects related to data reusability; 1) cultural & educational, 2) legal & ethical, and 3) technical. Through a series of talks from invited speakers and guided discussions, we consider how data professionals can better support and collaborate with researchers in research data management, and help them overcome (perceived) barriers to sharing and reuse of data. The presentations available have been shared and discussed during the FIDELIS Data Reuse Workshops.
