Abstract
Central African Republic (CAR) is a country rich in cultural heritage, including historical and contemporary intellectual works. A survey research approach was employed to gather data from key stakeholders such as librarians, archivists, and educators. Findings indicate a significant proportion (85%) of surveyed institutions reported challenges related to funding and staff training in maintaining their collections. The study highlights the urgent need for increased investment and capacity-building initiatives to enhance the preservation efforts of CAR’s intellectual heritage. Recommendation 1: Increase public awareness campaigns about the importance of preserving African intellectual heritage. Recommendation 2: Seek international partnerships for resource sharing and training programmes.
