TGB Osborn Vegetation Reserve: Background to the collection in TERN
Description
This document is the background and introduction prepared in 2025 but updated in February 2026 for the collection of observations made between 1926 (the eariest comment dates to 1907) and 2014 at Adelaide University's* TGB Osborn Vegetation Reserve, an enclosure situated in Koonamore Station, South Australia. The collection contains information on vegetation regeneration and status, kangaroo, and rabbit activity.
Observations were initially compiled and delivered through the Terrestrial Ecosystem Research Network's data portal by Dr Russ Sinclair in 2014. The data made available through the TERN Data Discovery Portal (TDDP) in 2025 has been cleaned and revised by Dr Alison Specht and members of the TDDP team to ensure the data are Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable. Version 2 added nearly 6,000 digital images to the collection, observations for which are in the TERN Data Discovery Portal (TDDP). These are available through the linked TERN EcoImages. The technical information for this upload describes the changes in Version 3.

V2 corrected some typographical errors
V3 contains a correction of the area of Cassia corner, the addition of acknowledgements and updating of the species list as data files were refined.
