Digital Health Platforms' Impact on Maternal Health Services in Lagos, Nigeria: Adoption Rates and Outcomes

Digital health platforms have gained traction in various sectors, including maternal healthcare services in developing countries like Nigeria. A comprehensive search strategy was employed to identify relevant studies using databases such as PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar. Studies published from to present were included based on predefined eligibility criteria. The review identified a significant variation (75%+) in the adoption rates of digital health platforms across different healthcare facilities in Lagos, with higher rates observed in urban areas compared to rural settings. Digital health platforms have shown promise for improving maternal health services in Lagos, but their widespread implementation is hindered by infrastructure and financial constraints. Investment in digital literacy training for healthcare workers and stakeholders should be prioritised alongside policy support to facilitate the adoption of these platforms. Treatment effect was estimated with $\text{logit}(p_i)=\beta_0+\beta^\top X_i$, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
