  "description": "<p>El Laboratorio de Entomología Universidad de la Amazonia (LEUA) se crea en el 2018, con el objetivo de consolidarse como una unidad de apoyo en la formación del capital humano, con enfoque a la solución de problemáticas de la Entomología en el Neotrópico. Presta sus servicios a la comunidad académica, científica y sectores productivos, con el propósito de contribuir al desarrollo de la región amazónica. Además de servir a la formación académica de los estudiantes de la Universidad de la Amazonía, se desarrollan proyectos de investigación en el área de la Entomología y proyección social donde participan docentes, estudiantes, egresados y diferentes sectores productivos.</p>\n<p>El presente conjunto de datos cuenta con dos registros pertenecientes a insectos del orden Mecoptera, con distribución en la región amazónica, con los cuales se describió una especie nueva para la ciencia. Estos registros se han recolectado en marco del proyecto de investigación titulado &#34;Estudio de la diversidad, dinámica poblacional y potencial biótico de depredadores y parasitoides controladores de chinches verdaderas del género Monalonion en plantaciones de cacao de los departamentos del Huila y Caquetá Florencia&#34; con código BPIN 2020000100513; el material biológico se encuentra depositado en la colección Laboratorio de Entomología Universidad de la Amazonia (LEUA).</p>",
